The Swiss Atlantic Breakers

Cindy – The Calm marathon Runner (CH)

Since the age of 6, Cindy has been actively involved in running, participating in distances ranging from short runs to half marathons, street marathons, and mountain marathons as personal challenges. In winter, Cindy switches to cross-country skis and has completed several Engadin Marathons and the Vasaloppet.

As a former restaurant and hotel owner, Cindy is well-versed in the planning and strategic leadership of a business. Her calm demeanor and determined mindset will serve as a solid anchor and motivator for this project.

Cindy calls Wil (ZH) her home and is supported by her husband, 17-year-old daughter, and their two pugs, Gunda and Smilla. She looks forward to being part of the team and getting to know herself better during the Atlantic crossing.

Charlotte – The Nerdy Veterinarian (GER)

Originally from Munich, Germany, Charlotte has been calling Switzerland home since 2019. Working as a veterinarian in various countries, she currently enjoys the multicultural and nature-oriented atmosphere in the Zurich region. In her free time, Charlotte engages in various outdoor sports such as rowing on Lake Zurich, skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Despite holding a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, Charlotte has a strong inclination towards technical aspects. She is excited about the opportunity to be involved in the construction of the boat and the mechanics of equipment like watermakers and solar cells.

Looking ahead to the future, Charlotte is eager to experience breathtaking sunrises and sunsets and embrace the “simplicity” of the adventure.

Row – Eat – Sleep – Repeat

Roger – The Crossfit Accountant (CH)

When Roger is not busy with his work as an accountant in a trading company, you can often find him pursuing his passion – Crossfit. He actively participates in Crossfit competitions and considers rowing to be an essential element of his intense training routine. Additionally, he enjoys occasional rock climbing and leisurely hikes. With his accounting background, Roger is the “Master of Numbers” for the team, ensuring careful management of the budget and finances.

Roger is always up for a joke and loves to come up with rhymes. His cheerful and open-minded nature will contribute to the team’s motivation during challenging times on the Atlantic. He looks forward to everything Mother Nature has in store for the team, especially incredible sunrises and starry skies!
